Suresure: It doesn't matter if others are getting test or not, every individual case is different. May be somebody who applied last week can get a test and another who applied year ago can be still we waiting... That is how Canada immigration works.. Good luck..
I have already taken my test last SEPTEMBER 11, 2014. Aced it and just awaiting Oath Taking.
Here's my timeline:
Citizenship
1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 24, 2013.
2. We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 24, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
3. We started processing your application on March 18, 2013.
4. We sent you a notice on July 30, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on September 11, 2014 at 9:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
I have received RQ before my test around Apr - May 2014 then received the letter to take the test a few months after.
i will say still your timeline is faster considering you got RQ (that could have increased your timeline significantly).
My application was received in late may of 2013 and so far, no news on test (no RQ was issued).
I checked my ATIP and everything was normal.
