Hi,

I have received a letter from Citizenship and Imm Canada to attend the test/interview for citizenship. My son (age 10) has a US passport which was expired few days back. Would this be a problem?
I need to submit his passport for renewal. I am afraid they may retain the expired passport and send it with the new passport (which happened to his sibling earlier), and I may not have the passport to show to the Immigration officer if needed.
> The primary question is - would the Immigration officer ask for kids (age 10 and less) passport(s)?
> If the answer is Yes, would it be a problem to have an expired passport?

Thanks for all the replies.

Just to clarify - its a family application of 4.

I applied with my 2 kids (9 and 11) but the officer did not ask for any of the kids' passports/details during the interview/test.
