Hello
applied : Sep 2012
In Process : Feb 2013
RQ received: April 2013
RQ Sent : 2013
Test Passed: Jul 2016
Nothing in between, they have not asked for any additional documents, or figure prints during whole process.
I have passed my citizenship test and had nice interview with citizenship officer, CO was nice enough to congratulate me after I passed my test and interview with him.
Only thing is pending on my application is CIC did not received my immigration clearance, so officer told me we can not send you invite for oath ceremony, until we will receive your immigration clearance because your immigration clearance is still pending.
My questions to you: how likely doe's take for immigration clearance once you passed your test?
He also mentioned sometime it will take weeks or months to receive immigration clearance certificate.
I have waited for almost 4 years now still can't say myself a proud citizen of Canada.
Thanks

IRCC/CIC can run this clearance themselves. They so not need to send to an outside agency. That said, someone at IRCC still needs to pick up your file and actually do it and that all depends on the volume and back log at your local office. It could take weeks--it could take months. But it sounds like good news, so I would just sit back and relax.

Thank you for your response!
if officer needs additional documents, officer will advised me that during my interview with him.
So, there is no chance that, I will be again asked for additional documents.
It's just stupid immigration clearance taking so long, hopefully this waiting time will end soon.
Only one things asking from god make my citizenship happen soon!

On the contrary, there is always the possibility that IRCC will request additional information or documents. If the interviewer assured you that everything was in order and that no further information or documents from you will be required, probably a good chance that is true. But it is
not guaranteed.
I am not sure what the "immigration clearance" means in this context. It could be the IRCC full GCMS query. But it could be a reference to the final assessment by a Citizenship Officer, who will review all the file, and will especially examine the evidence of residency, and also of course check other aspects of the application, ranging from continued valid PR status to verifying there are no prohibitions.
In any event, many report one to six or months before the oath is scheduled even if the post-test process is routine. Not much can be done but to wait and watch eCas and watch the mail, looking for notice of the next step, which hopefully will be the oath.

Thank you for your response:
In the final stage this is what CO has told me
1. you passed your test
2. you passed your English conversation.
3. looking at your documents you have met the residency requirement ( I have been RQ'd in April -2013 and I replied back in May-2013 he did not mentioned anything on it.
4. You have met all 3 residency requirement Congratulations on passing your test and interview.
5. We have to wait for immigration clearance once we have that clearance available, we will send you oath letter check your mail regularly or any event if you change your address please inform CIC of that changes.
Thank you and have a good day!
