Time to contact the news about the minister and the IRCC's false claims that they were improving processing times.
We’ll that’s disappointing. At the same time I saw IRCC bragging that spousal PR processing is now back to 12 months (Pre pandemic) timeline.
I hope they are not making this adjustment on the assumption that there won't be a general election until 2025 because of the Liberal-NDP deal.
IRCC just updated their tool and now being more transparent about actual processing time, For grant of citizenship it is now 27 months

At least they are honest now. After 2 years of false advertising of 12 months, they are finally admitting it takes longer. It's bad, actually very bad, but again they are at least honest about it. The same thing goes with passport. They say it's 20 business days, but it takes 40 business days. At least be honest with the actual processing time, and don't let applicants have false hope from the false processing time.
I hope they are not making this adjustment on the assumption that there won't be a general election until 2025 because of the Liberal-NDP deal.
Side tracking here but your name sounds familiar, PR application 2016 from Singapore, does that ring a bell?
Here we are waiting on Citizenship
