Citizenship Oath Wait for Hamilton Office

Called CIC this afternoon, the citizenship ceremony did not schedule yet.

I have to wait until September.

Okay finally!!

Checked CIC just now and it has been updated to say my Oath has been set for 1st May!!

The letter was supposedly sent on April 11th and I have not received it yet.

Good luck to everyone else waiting. It took 3 months exactly after the test to receive the Oath!

Lucky you. Completed in 12 months. Some applicants are waiting from 2009. God knows what's happening with their files.

Good Luck Pointy!! Hope things move for Feb Tet Takers as well.. There was a little pause in wave of Oaths whhc got me worried.. Anyhow, with your letter gives a little more hope that we should receive Oath .. Test was Feb-14.

I took test on Feb-10 at Hamilton and my oath is on May 1st.

I found two old posts in this forum. People say they are fine without an oath letter, as long as your name is on the list. But I will still call the call centre to make sure the time and address before my oath.

I finally got the oath letter in my mailbox today, it seems they didnt mail it out until the 16th even though it was dated the 11th. Good Luck to everyone else waiting, hopefully yours is just round the corner as well. Unfortunately when you're waiting every day seems like an eternity!!
