Congratulations!! After how many days of the status update in IRCC website do they send the official email instructions for oath ceremony .

I can see my status updated in website on June 11 that oath is scheduled for Aug 02 . However no email received yet

You will receive an email may be a couple of weeks before August 2nd.

Can someone please tell me what "size" was the certificate package? was it just the certificate or some other papers/brochures as well?
and was it delivered using Canadapost trackable shipment?
Was it left in the mailbox or community mail box or was card was left out to be collected from the nearby station?
My certificate was mailed out on June 8th but havent received it yet. I am worried now that its lost somewhere. Need help please

Thanks a lot . For identity proof I have my PR card and health card which is expired . Does IRCC accept expired card

You can also have foreign passport as identity document.

Can someone please let me know if you will receive any forms or invitation in the regular mail or it is only the online status and nothing send in regular mail before the oath? I know i will receive the certificate in the regular mail after the oath in 3 to 5 business days after the oath.

Currently, the oath invitations will be sent via email. Nothing will be sent via regular mail. Before that, the date will be updated on the New Citizenship status Dashboard . The certificate will arrive in about 2 weeks from the date of oath depending on where the delivery address is.

Thanks for the reply and update. The oath date was updated today and scheduled for 06/28. I read somewhere saying that we have to sign a form and hence was not clear.

The form will be sent in the email closer to the oath date. You can expect the email probably in the first 3 days of next week (or might be sent at the end of this week). The forms should only be filled, dated and signed on the day of the oath. Your son should be physically present in Canada for the oath though it is done online!

I think they'll give you the instructions but I think you can even sign it electronically and email them the form.

Someone who has taken oath recently can probably confirm this.

No need to mail a hard copy.

The options are to sign with a pen (which you will do with the officer witnessing) and scan and email.
or to sign electronically and email.

@priysen02 and @muralie krishna could you share which office is processing your application ? Also to know, if it is the hamilton , office, then there is some hope for all the backlog applicants, which the office claims is slowing them down.

My son's application is being processed in the Mississauga office. Since it was for minor the process is different since there is no physical presence or test requirements. We were asked to provide an update once we are in Canada and they will schedule the oath. So we came into Canada on 6/13 and shared the immigration stamp that night and we got an update saying a decision was made and the oath has been scheduled for 6/28.
