Congrats! Did you get your certificate today? I am a GTA applicant, and apparently was scheduled for oath at this office as well. I only have about a week after oath before having to travel, and my plan cannot be moved. Any tips for how I should request expedite before the ceremony like you said?

Congratulations! I need your guidance please in a similar situation but for family reasons. My oath is on Jan 10th at MB SK office. I was planning to travel in early February to my home country and accompany my dad who has super visa to Canada. I didn't book yet the flight. I didn't even expect the oath to come in January. So can you guide please on how to request expedite dispatch of the certificate? Should I book the flight first and send it to the office email?
The way i approached was that i sent email to their office email ID given in oath letter and explained my situation that i am required to travel for work and attached letter from HR and also my booked ticjet and i also mentioned that i dont want to delay my oath ceremony. Then after 3 days from that email, i called help line and was made aware that the request is approved by MB SK office and they will send certificate by xpresspost service of canada post
Your time of travel is really short as one week is very short notice but no harm to try. You can try postponne ceremony if you really cant delay travel as once pr is cut you cant re enter canada without passport

Usually work related travels are more sound but you never know, you can try booking ticket and then try send email to mb sk office as that will have more weightage for positive outcome of your request in my opinion.

Thanks for the super helpful response! I guess I will take that risk, in any case, the certificate will be sent to my cousin's and he will bring it back to me outside of Canada so I can apply for a passport. I was hoping to do that while I am still in Canada but this seems challenging unless they approve my expedite request.

But request is before oath as chances are very rare that they will accept during oath, as reported by previous MB SK office oath takers, thats why i tried before oath which is basically as per instructions in their letter that if you have travel plans do let us know immediately and it worked.

My own personal experience has been that IRCC will not accept personal/family related travel to expedite citizenship certificates.
Likewise Rizwan I provided (proactively) a letter from my organization regarding the business trip. This letter was acknowledged by the clerk who reviewed the documents during the ceremony.
Just had oath ceremony today. @ 2 pm EST with MB SK office.
It took almost 1 hr 40 mins for the whole proess, very fast.
Since my expedited duspatch of citizenship certificate was already approved so registration clerk informed me of it too...
Sent the affirmation of citizenship form soon after 10 mins from the oath ceremoney end time.
Hope citizenship certificate arrive soon now and tracking details of xpresspost from canada post is shared by MB SK office which they said, they will share once its shipped. They asked me to contact back on Friday if i did not get the tracking details by then.
I am not sure if it was sent through xpresspost or regular mail as my file was completed on Tue Dec 20, and had it been sent on Tue from winnipeg, xpresspost shud have been here in Hamilton, ON by Friday Dec 23 max.
Will update once i receive the certificate that when and how it was sent.
