No, vacations don't count, even if you tell them you'll lose thousands of dollars. You will have the option of postponing your oath ceremony.
And yes, an officer will check your identity and will ask if you have any urgent travel. Other than a family emergency, nothing else is considered urgent.
Hi ,
I also took my oath on 9th Nov 2022(virtual, SCR) and my status was closed on Nov 25th 2022. Still waiting for my certificate. I was told it will take around 4-6 weeks to receive my certificate during ceremony. Strange enough last week my online status was once again changed to In-Progress not sure why.
When i called up IRCC on Dec19, they told it is already mailed out on 14th Nov and asked me to wait until the end of 6 weeks (26th Dec) and call them back if haven't receive by then.
Yes, it is both either delay in visa office to print and mail - or from Canada post. In my case it seems like Canada post delay. So waiting...
We had it on the same day I live only 1 hour away from Niagara and still took 40 days to receive it, If you are living further, maybe due to holidays it might get delayed, but I would enjoy holiday and don`t think about it until new year At least you know someone from the same date received their certificate so yours should be on the way too.

It should have been dispatched normally if you see that it is completed, but you never know, because my tracker shows still in progress even though I received the certificate.
