I have a friend who had a terrible experience when he applied for PR. He waited one year before he went to his MP to help him locate his application. IRCC couldn't provide an explanation why his application was lost and couldn't be processed for an entire year.
At the time when my friend thought he's about to receive his PR card, IRCC simply told him we didn't receive your application, it took him one year to wake up and pursue the matter seriously and he was in serious , extremely serious trouble back then. Now he's applying for Citizenship and planning not to repeat the same mistake. He's actively following through his application. This is an example of how reckless it can get at IRCC. They receive tens of thousands of applications, and you don't want them to loose some, unbelievable. they're as much human as anyone else. think about it.

They sure know what percentage of applications are being returned, they could estimate the cost of sending them back by a traceable method (can't be more than $10-$15 top) and add that cost to the application fee. $630 or $640 would not make a huge difference, but the reassurance of not losing packages containing EVERY personal information of some applicant would be well worth it.

If that's the first message, before seeing AOR, could that be something else, maybe? Most that we've seen that had FP requests got the message after AOR, no?

I already did and they asked him to wait for another month.
Getting sick of waiting. Almost 65 days till now after two applications sent and no AOR nor the applications back. I even contacted Canada Post to open an investigation and those ones told me to wait till the end of December.
Everyone cannot give you an answer about your application; if it is returned or lost by them. They do not like to get responsible for this.
I will wait until next week then I will reapply.
