The only proof I have for current visa is the B1/B2 visa status I printed from online and the visa on my passport. I received a reply from the embassy saying that are not able to provide a letter stating my current visa as the visa in my passport already serves as a proof of my ability to seek entry into USA.
As for old F1/I-20, my university agreed to provide me with a letter stating that. Other than this I do not have any proof!

No they haven't asked me anything else after that. The MP and the CIC agent said that my application is in final stages of processing and they do not require any other documentation proof. They have everything that they need.
Yes you can contact your Local MP to give a push to your file. I have been waiting for 6 months after i sent my documents and passed my test. Thus I contacted my MP.
I just called my MP's office and booked an appointment. told them it was regarding my citizenship application.
At the appointment, the MP's office contacted CIC to ask what the hangup was. It was a pretty easy process.
Look at the thread below for more details.

I just contacted MP in 1st week of March. The MP said that I should hear from CIC very soon and if nothing happens till April then contact them again since mine is a very straight forward case.
So I am keeping my fingers crossed for another week.
