I did not know about GCMS notes before today. But here is what happened to me. From the email signatures, I could gather that after initial verification my application was rejected from Nova Scotia itself.
CIO checked the eligibility, gave an AOR mentioning that the application will be forwarded to visa processing office.

After 20 days I got a rejection letter stating that I did not provide the employment reference letter.

I ordered GCMS notes on July 9th and told them to send it to me by email.
i emailed them and they said they have sent me a CD.
In the application form it says that if files are too big they are gonna send it through cd.
my application was sent in april...dunno what could be so big that they have to fit it in a cd.
anybody else got it through cd? and how long it should take to receive it?

They didn't send me anything to track. The reason I know they sent me a cd is because i emailed them saying that it's been over 30 days and they replied to me: Good afternoon,
Your file P-XXXX-XXXX was released via CD on August 9th 2013.
Please confirm receipt of the documents once received.
I applied for GCMS notes on July 12 and today is the 33rd calendar day and have still not received it. Their automated reply says that "If your request is complete, it will be processed within 30 calendar days from the date of receipt, unless an extension is required. Extensions may be taken for limited and specific reasons, which are listed in the following sections of the Acts"
Should I wait for few more days and send them an email? Please advise friends..

I just sent an email to ATIP-AIPRP@cic.gc.ca for a status on my GCMS request since it is more than 30 days now and got an automated message which also includes the below text:
*Important message: The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. This decision affects automatically PAFSO union members in Canadian and overseas offices.
Please note that normal processing times for ATIP requests could be affected by the strike.
