CIC closed today

When I called CIC last week they said today will be a working day for them and Dec 25 and 26 is a holiday.

I sent my package yesterday which was supposed to be delivered today and my tracking shows:

11.50 AM - Attempted Delivery - Receiver unavailable

If they say they are open then they aren't going to be closed
Did you out the correct address? It could just be that a number of people are away and that The mailroom guy wasn't there for a moment.

I sent my application to the P.O. Box 4000 address ( regular mail ) using a prepaid Canadapost Xpress Post envelope.

Toby: Are you saying that the address is not correct? I took it off of CIC Website....

4000 address is for regular mail.. the above address is correct for courier and that's what I did - I used Purolator xPress envelope services

Also government offices are open till 1.00 p.m. today.

I can only say that CIC is open today as I got a mail response from them today morning(Its not automated one).

11.50 AM local time is Sydney - I am in Toronto

CIC is open today. I had sent my Passports by courier (FedEx) and it has been received signed by some one name Amanda. Moreover this is the address for

Am not sure if you had sent it here . The other address is for Canada Xpresspost.

PO BOx is only for canada post. when you use couriers you cannot use POBox i guess.

I sent my application on December 20, 2013 via Canada xpresspost
and
It was delivered this morning at 10.52 a.m.. Just received a pdf confirmation.
