Hi Kysorb
I think the only reason they asked for her birth certificate in the PPR was because we never included it in the original package. (I dont even remember whether the original package asked for that) It seems most people only get a request for the passport.
Hmm yea I see it snuck in there next to adoption marriage and death. I think I asked my wife about that and she told me such a document doesn't exist just hukou. Her family has a police friend back in the hometown hopefully we can guanxi this document from the road with some Scanned files.
Congrats on the AOR2, think your PPR is just around the corner. (Ours was about 2 weeks after)
Don't worry that the UCI was changed. The UCI issued from Mississauga was for you as a sponsor. The new one is for your wife's application for perm res.
The wife's father went and got it from the vital statistics office in the hometown with a cellphone image of the front and back of her ID card and a "friend".
Now off for notary translation. I'll be ready when the ask for it.
Same here ECAS says "In progress" as well. Says they started processing her application on the 9th, got the PPR on the 10th, and we mailed it off on the 11th. Interested to see how long we will wait now.
Back in Beijing, nothing new to report, got the birth certificate here now. We will take it to the notary in the morning and have it ready for them should they request it.
Not that i can speak for anyone else, but this is the Family Class visa forum. You would probably find the FSW applications in the skilled worker section.
