CHC ISB application -- received Study Permit visa today

Does embassy send pp on wednesdays or they also send next day i am worried alot about the application because i mailed embassy twice they didnt replied and my fees date is also gone getting late only week left for the uni to be started

Yep, I confirmed a seat for September 2 through my travel agent, and cancelled the other bookings. PIA, direct flight to Toronto, will buy a West Jet ticket to Vancouver.

here is my time line..

Submitted my visa app 05th july11
got medical call 04 aug 11
got medical done on 09th aug 11
sent my pp back on 12th aug 11

Since then I'm waiting for good news..
I am just wondering that wat are the chances of getting visa after medicals?? and how many days it take??

how u booked ur flights?, here in karachi i visited many travel agents they said seats are reserved for only three to four days after that airline or system automatically cancel the seats............ ???

Owais, I basically just let my agent handle the tickets (Al-Taqi Travels in Blue Area, Islamabad), but my guess is that the bookings were sent in to the airlines as requests and the confirmation for September 2 has only come in recently. So it was always going to be a risky process, but I was prepared to lose a bit of money to get to Canada on time. Al-Taqi Travels is super-reliable and they've always gotten me flights in the past.

BeautifulSoul, that's a pretty decent timeline ... I think you can expect the visa by the end of August or beginning of September for sure.

J, thanks for your kind words -- I hope your second application goes better. If you want, I can send you the letter I wrote to the CHC after my visit visa was refused to help you respond to them (I most definitely encourage you to send them a politely-worded but firm response that so that they know that their refusal decision was not a very good one).
