I was wondering if its possible to change the citizenship processing office?
Situation:
Person X lives in Vancouver where the processing is slower compared to other offices. Person X wants the processing office to be different in particular because they dont care where its processed as long as it can be done asap - even if that means moving to an alternate city.
Scenarios:
Say if you go through a lawyer in Toronto and you are based in Vancouver - could the test center/oath place also become Toronto?
Alternatively if you somehow temporarily get a place in Toronto right before submitting citizenship documents - could the fact that you now recently have begun living in Toronto ensure that your application gets processed in Toronto?
What I am talking about is not fraud as it is not a misrepresentation.
I am talking about doing something within the parameters of the rules to get faster processing. If someone legitmately moves ahead of filing citizenship to a city where they might avail faster processing how is that misrepresentation?
i dont think it is possible..i guess processing office is assigned through internal system..my advice dont try to be smart and let it as it is..

Vancouver is one of the slower offices. Calgary/Ottawa etc are faster by a few months. (On average that is - ofcourse your own circumstances can change things)

Otherwise, you should be patient and not try to outsmart the system. Any attempt will just give IRCC a reason to delay your application more. By the way Vancouver is not the slowest processing office, have you had a look at Winnipeg?

ok so lets suppose you give your friends address in toronto to cic and your friend can forward all mail to you
but what about your job location and what about your address on driving license..you need to change that as well and it will take time
do you think its worth moving to new city and changing addresses on licenses bla bala...it will take even longer time then..if you have waited 4 years you can wait few more months,,,
and providing a very new address on your application can also raise red flag
I would not bet on faster processing times. I am in Vancouver. A friend of mine just applied on the 23rd of May and she got her interview in two weeks, much faster than in my case.
Frankly, we all need patience and I think even more after the change.

I didn't say it was misrepresentation, I said misrepresenting your residential address might be considered fraud. You don't want to send up any red flags to IRCC that you might be less than honest--it will lead to delays, extra scrutiny and the distinct possibility that someone will misinterpret your intentions. And to what end? Perhaps shaving a few months off of processing time or not? Why take the risk? If you have to move, you have to move; but otherwise why add potential complications when you don't need to?
