change of status from closed work permit to open work permit

Hi. i'm changing my status from work permit to study permit and my kids has to extend the student permit.
My wife who is currently working in canada with a closed work permit needs to change her status from closed work permit to open work permit. please let me know how to apply for the entire family and also we have done medical check up in India last July 2017 needs to do again the medical check up.

Start with applying for the colllege/university program and then apply fpr your study permit to see if it is granted. You can also apply for your children's visas if your wife's visa is valid for at least the next school year. Your wife's permit will be dependent on your visa acceptance.
