MY gf recently applied for PR through the common-law outland route. She is currently living with me in Canada on a tourist visa. We recently moved and I need to do a change of address.

I get directed to this page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/change-address.asp

I am confused if our situation is considered "In Canada" or "Outside Canada" because we live in Canada but we applied outland.

Thoughts?

P.S. Also, the address we used for mailing our documentation is my parents place--which is only 2 hours away. So could we also elect to just leave the address as is? Or should we be contacting them to notify them?

As long as someone is there to receive the mail, you should be fine. If you haven't received the sponsor approval letter yet, I'd suggest waiting until you do so and then sending your updated address to the designated visa office - you'll have a file number and their address, which is what you need to report it. Until YOU are approved as sponsor, CIC will be communicating with you, not with your partner.

Good luck!

I changed my address both online and through email to ottawa, and i have not received any response.

i am starting to get worried. :(
