Change Course - post graduate diploma to diploma

Hello friends,

I got a visa for Marketing mgt PG Diploma course - University of Winnipeg (1 year) but now thinking to change college and course both as my cousin in medicine hat, Alberta. The thing is that medicine hat college only offers diploma courses like business administration (2 years) which lead me to get 3 years PGWP.

Is it possible to change the course of study from postgraduate level to graduate level? Is it impact on future visa process?

Are we count both courses at the same level?

No it is not the same level. Diploma's usually don't require a previous degree. You will have to doublecheck your course.

yes, this course doesnt require bachelor degree so you mean i am not eligible to change to that course.

If in Field of Study you have Any designated Post secondary Inst. It should be allright to change by informing online only. If there's anything else there you need to call CIC to know the process for change

You only have to notify them if you are changing schools. No need to notify if you are changing programs, field of study, levels etc. Unless something is specified on your study permit. But in your case since you will be changing schools - it is more safe to notify of school change. No effect on future applications watsoever
