i am vicky from jalandhar.i have applied for canada student visa under spp on 18 march 2012.i have done b.tech in computer science engineering in 2010.i have one year and seven months work experience as help desk operator in a reputed software company in jalandhar.i am going to seneca college in may intake for advanced diploma in computer engineering technology which is further specialized course in addition to my already aquired bachelor degree in computer science engineering.i have 6.5 overall bands in ielts with 7.5 in listening,6.5 in reading, 5.5 in speaking and 6 in writting.i have already paid my first semester fee.then i took an education loan of 8 lakhs from allahabad bank.my parental income is 4.5 lacks per year.i have also done my medicals and submitted alongside visa file.
so friends what u think about my chances of getting visa??and how much time will it take for me to get visa??please reply soon......

by the i had applied in feb more or less same profile but i mistakenly submit bank draft instead of bank statment $21000 but they refused me anyways do let me know what ever result you get

You profile is good and chances of getting visa are high, but one thing why are you not going for Master's degree.Advance diploma after B.TECH. might lead to study mismatch...........
i am also little worried about this........but there was no post graduate program for may intake.....thats y i choose advance diploma......but as it is a fast track program(u can do it after post secondory) education so i guess there are little chances of mismatch...lets hope for gud results......

u have chances of getting visa......n regarding advanced diploma.....i m not sure about that if that can be a problem or not......one of my friend did b.tech in electronics amd communication engg. and applied for electronics engg. tech.(advanced diploma) and he got visa with in 8 days....but i also know a person who was rejected because of diploma after graduation.....so i guess it depends on ur luck n mood of visa officer....if ur documentation is impressive,good educational background,sufficient funds then u will surely get visa..hope u get visa soon...best of luck...and plz tell us if u get visa...

immigration status becoz i had apply from UK as i am student here
but what i belive i made mistake i had submit with my application bank draft instead of bank statment therefore they sent me latter wherein they asking about the statement and i had sent after that my stament as well but they already made the decision by the time
second thing might be is becoz of my course becoz i had done from UK PGD and i am applying for 3 years advance dipmloma retail managment it can be another reason but they didnt mentioned about anything
