CEC with foreign work experience

Hi! I am applying under CEC and I have foreign work experience, do they count the hours per week as well? Like the same as Canadian experience of 30/week? Or as long as you have the 1560 hours completed? I had 2 jobs within a year, but I had a gap of 2 weeks in between jobs. So basically, I wouldn't complete the 52 weeks. But I do have the 1560 hours completed. Thanks!

i worked as an Assistant Professor(full-tine) on Contractual basis for 3 years in india.
Aug,2013-May,2014(9 months)
Aug,2014-May,2015(9 months)
Aug,2015-May,2016(9 months)
will it be counted as valid experience for my Express entry profile to improve my CRS score? i also have 1year of canadian experience in an IT company.

It should be 30 hours per week for 52 weeks to be counted as 1 year work experience.

You can count this as part time work. You’ll only be able to claim 2 years though, as your short by a 9 months to claim another year.

Can i have in my experience letter the work duration be like "she worked 9:00am-5:00pm all weekdays" rather than "40 hours a week?

Not sure. IRCC asks for the exact work hours per week. If it helps, add an LOE to explain how many hours you render in a week to make it clear. Just my 2 cents. Wait for others.

I am a CEC applicant in Express entry.I have One year continous work experience in canada with required and qualified NOC.
I want to claim points for the foreign work experience but I have a small doubt
Company A- Business Development Executive-9 months
Company B- Associate-Business Excellence-4 months
Both the jobs have similar job duties and I have gap of month(which is fine as I have conitnous one year experience in canada).

So Can claim points for my foreign experience with different NOCs?or I can modify them to be the same

Hello Everyone, I'm currently on WP in Canada & planning to apply for PR. I have a query regarding how to calculate the work experience time-period.

So, I have approx. 11 months of experience from my home country (1-Oct, 2022 to 26-August,2023) in NOC 41402 as a secondary school teacher.
And then I started working for a Canadian employer from June, 2024 to present in NOC 41220 as a market researcher. This is a fully remote job.
Now, I was Outside of Canada for whole 2 months (Nov&Dec,2024) & was working for my Canadian employer remotely.

I'm aware that those 2 months count as foreign work experience as I was not physically present in Canada.

My query is :
Can I combine 11month of NOC 41402 (teacher) & 2 month of NOC 41220 (market researcher) [both under TEER 1] to claim 1 year worth of CRS points for foreign work experience when applying under CEC category (which is after I complete my eligibility of 1 year of work experience for Canadian employer while staying in Canada)?
