CEC - Who's waiting for Security?

I have noticed a slight trend through different time frames. I am interested to know who is only waiting for Security to be completed and how long have you been waiting?

Called IRCC 26th Jan. Eligibility, Info sharing and Criminality passed/completed. Security not started.

Security - In Progress @5:30pm per !RCC call.
Info Sharing - In Progress since 9 Nov. No VR. All stat questions 'No'

Me, sort of. Eligibility passed on Jan 30 but now Criminality and Security not started since then.

Every since my GU2 on Feb 06, status on the application is "Your application is in progress.". On Feb 08 I saw that everything is complete on PR Tracker, only background check is Not Started, so I assume this is security. So far no changes in my application. I'm thinking maybe they're checking in the background and only change the status when it's done and switch to Final Decision.

Is yours still saying Background Check Not Started in Tracker? From your timeline, from GU2 to GU3 took 2 weeks, so I'm still hopeful it'll change some time next week for me too. Finger crossed.

Don't know VO or start date. Didn't ask unfortunately while talking to IRCC. Rest not all passed. Eligibility not started to according to the officer

Most security checks are done within 1 month though it can take longer, up to 1 to 2 years, if its in enhanced screening.

just learned that VO is Edmonton, probably thats why it is this slow

How do I know if my application is in enhanced screening? See below image how my security status looks like in CBSA notes.

CSIS confirmed completed security request and sent back results to CBSA on same day 6 Feb. not sure what's pending.

Does CBSA do comprehensive SS or does CBSA order CSIS screening again at a later date after record check done in 6 Feb?
