I think it depends on Visa Officer. They can prioritize the case. Actually I wrote to Visa Officer requesting him to approve and expedite my PR Card application. The following day I received a response from the officer that it is approved and send to printing and it will be delivered soon.

Do you think it is also possible to ask them to expedite the CEC application because of special circumstances? My partner is interviewing for a job at a government agency which requires PR to get a permanent position.
Did anyone have success with something like this before?
Hi Team, Just wondering how long it takes for final decision once everything is passed. My work permit is expiring in may 28 and not sure whether I should apply for bowp.

My suggestion is to apply bridge visa...We'd just never known when they will approve our PR application, three years, two years, a year, a month, a week, a day......Painful but if you're always holding valid work permit, at least you could make some money while waiting...plus, now, it takes more than 4 months standard to get bridge visa...
