My application is stuck due to comprehensive check at CBSA for 20 months. Notes from CBSA show it is in security with sub-activity security screening from July 19th, 2021. Notes from CSIS shows they have concluded the security to CBSA in March 2022. Until now, March 21, 2023, it is still stuck in CBSA. I am wondering how much facts CBSA is checking. My major is Microelectronics, got a phD degree, and worked in China for 10 years, so sad, frustrated.

You said it. I filed a Writ of Mandamus this months since I got AOR 23 months ago. It cost me a lot. Hope the result is satisfied.

how did you know CSIS concluded? CSIS notes? what did it say?

When the security check at CSIS is done and you request for the notes, you will get a CD having your security results. For my case, CSIS took 7-8 months, collected information from other countries, and didn't find anything posing security concerns to Canada.

Now that application processing time is 5 months, when I called today the agent said there is nothing that can be done. I am considering going to the MP’s office tomorrow.
