Yes, if your application was dependent upon job e.g. it was an LMIA based job offer that got you 600 or more recently 50-200 points.
No, otherwise. You might still do it just for updated record / work address. But its not a requirement. It might be useful in the scenario where you quoted Canadian job offer / experience, a visa officer digs to cross confirm that, only to discover you no longer work there. Even then as long as your past experience there could be verified it should be good. But still its better to keep CIC informed.
Hello, everyone.
My timeline:
CEC Inland
Feb 29: AOR
March 24: Medical passed.
March 24: Background Check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Recently CIC changed the description on the background check status, and it doesn't show NN(Not Needed), NS (Not Started), IP (In Progress) any more. Does anyone know what are the steps of the background check status changing?
I saw some folks post their timeline as follows, can anyone explain what is the current version to NN/NS/IP(1)/IP(2)/NA? Much appreciated!!
DATE 1 : NN->NS
DATE 2 : NS->IP(1)
DATE 3 : IP(1)->NN
DATE 4 : NN->IP(2)
DATE 5 : IP(2) -> NA

Hi,
Did anyone not pay RPRF upfront and paid after CIC requested? I did not pay mine upfront and wondering how much time it took for people to get PPR after paying RPRF?
Just a quick question. How do you guys receive your PPR? Is it just an email? Does the message show up on your cic status page?
If it doesn't I guess one should be checking the spam folders as well.
As an update to my time line:
