CEC-Has any Oct 2011 applicant received file number or medical?!

Hi,

I am an Oct 2011 applicant. I filed my documents on Oct 17,2011 under CEC.
Since mid November I am able to check my status online but I have not received any file number of information from visa office.

In status it shows: "We received your application for permanent residence on Oct 17, 2011"

Is there anyone with same timeline that has received file number from Buffalo?

I applied in oct 2011 too.. my status is the same as urs application recieved on 24th oct 2011. and my bank draft is cashed though...after that no updates

My application reached to buffalo office on Oct 14 2011 and draft is paid on Nov 8. Ecas showing application for PR is recevied on Oct 14 2011.

Expecting AOR and medicals this week.

jus got my AOR..and status in e-cas changed to inprocess ...got mail frm cpp-o..but no info about medicals yet

Wooow, Congrats, If your file is transferred to Ottawa it means your process will be super fast. You will receive your medical soon.

When you click on "In process" what it says? we started processing of your file .... ????

yeah guys keep an eye on your e-mails! If you have provided a valid e-mail they won't sent you a post mail. All correspondence would be through e-mails. So make sure you guys keep chekcing your spam. I found one in spam. But i kept an eye on it and that's why I didn't lose it. Better to enter cic.gc.ca in your safelist

I got them with my AOR. But remember I kind of recieved two AOR'S, first one from Buffalo and that gave me my file number but didn't state that it was AOR, Just mentioned that we have started processing your application. And then after like 20 days I recieved an e-mail from CPP-O that my file has been transferred here and Meds request too in the same e-mail. Keep an eye on the next e-mail. You will recieve it shortly. I am waiting for my passport to come back with visa issued. Your whole process should be done in 4-5 months. They have speed up the process. But again every application is different. May be your one step of application will be delayed but may be other steps will eb accelerated for some reasons. So you can't compare your timelines with anyone. But one thing is that i was on top of this thing. As soon as they ask for something, boom next day get it done and mail it out.
