Hi Guys.

Happy to see so many people with portal mails and eCOPRs. I just wanted to ask has anyone tried getting their SIN number updated using this eCOPR ?

I thought I would do it when I get the card but the card is taking so long :(
I am fairly certain you can update your SIN with your eCOPR. Service Canada did list COPr as one of the accepted documents and technically you became a PR the day you receive your eCOPR not your PR card.

you don't need card for that. That's only for travel outside the country. eCOPR is the only document you need to change SIN.

I know it can be used But wanted to find someone who has done it.

Because eCOPR has 2 pages 1 is client copy and 1 is ircc. The IRCC section has some forms which I cant fill.
for client copy too I had some questions. like PNC no CSQ no etc.

I applied for a new SIN on April 9th but they sent me an email the next day saying that I had to sign my copr by hand and I hadn't done that. They asked me to resubmit the SIN application with copr signed by hand which I did on April 12th. No updates yet.
