Based on your experience, I would really appreciate your guidance on the following:
I received an invite to the August 15th, 2023 draw in the CEC category. I started my job in late September 2022 and have not completed the full 1 year of Canadian work experience but I have received the points in my profile for the same. Does the system count months (instead of mandatory hours) by mistake/default? I used to work part-time when I was studying but I don't think we can get points for that. If I count part-time hours, then I do meet the mandatory hours.
Can someone who is sure of the above process clarify, please? Thanks a lot!
Hi @chiragbatra,
I was in the same situation than you. My ITA was oct 26th, 2022 and my one worked year was on Nov 8th, 2022. So they invited me before the 1 worked year. I was a newcomer so I didn't had part time hours or anything else. Anyway I submitted (AOR December 9th). Till this date I have medical and eligibility completed only waiting on background check to be completed. Best of luck

Hi guys, AOR 2nd Dec’22. So, it’s been 7 months 19 days now and still my application is stuck at “Background check - In Progress”. GCMS notes say criminality was passed, so I’m assuming they’re doing second level security in SVO (Etobicoke). But it’s there for last 6 months. No new info, no communication. I have called IRCC customer service multiple times and they just tell me to wait as there’s nothing wrong with the application. Is there anything I can do in this situation?
Also, I submitted web form on 6/29 and I’m yet to hear back. Does anybody know what’s the current timeframe for web form response? Their website does not provide satisfactory info. Thanks for any info you could provide.
I checked the tracker yesterday and I saw what looks like a ghost update which indicates eligibility is complete (background is still in progress) but I haven’t received any communication on the ircc account. Anybody has any idea what it means?

Eligibility was marked recommended pass in february by first officer however the second officer issued ADR for previous visa refusal while keeping the status recommended pass.

GU and eligibility completion is good sign that your application is getting processed now, there is no specific timeline for webform reply and usually they just send a standard reply to it.

Hi, I am AOR Dec 27 and stuck in the background check. I ordered CBSA notes on 24th July. Does anyone know how long does it take to get the notes? I still have not received them.
