Just to update you guys, I have applied two applications- Paper- based application and Express Entry.

Today, i have received golden e-mail- ready for visa and that decision is on paper based application.

Nothing related to express entry.

I have sent paper based on June 20, 2019 and cic received it on June 25, 2019 according to timeline what it shows in account.

And, AOR for Express Entry is Dec 5, 2018, already crossed six months.

It is quite surprising that I have decision on paper based application first. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting anything related to this. Did not checked account on regular basis, but for Express one, I have checking 5-7 times daily.

Nationality: Malaysia
Visa Office: Ottawa
AOR: 30 Nov 2018
PPR: 11 Jun 2019

Once you hit the 6-month mark, contact your MP! I contacted mine two weeks ago and now I have my PPR!

Ana1001 any update on the passports ... its been a couple of weeks since my sending date ... I dunno how long they usually take for this process

I am surprised, MP can influence your application processing time.

I wouldn't say that they can directly influence but they will indirectly force IRCC to speed up your process. When I contacted my MP office (Spadina-Fort York) for help, they called IRCC in less than 2 hours time and basically provided information to me akin to applying for GCMS notes, on the spot. I guess, when you have MP office contacting your caseworker at IRCC, it basically gives IRCC the idea of 'oh shit, I need to get this guy's application done before the MP office pesters me anymore'. The MP office even told me that I should contact them by a certain date if there was no update to my application.

Acutally same case for me.. I have also applied paper based application(AINP) AOR date is 19 Sept. I have received medical request and submitted the same.

I also applied through expresss entry, which is going to hit 6 month time line this Friday.

Mine is also the same..BG in process!
My PPR was on 4th and passport submitted at VFS on 11th.

not really.. my MP have made 3 inquiries in last 8 months.. nothing has expedited the case or anything. it solely depends on the case officer
