Hi,

Need your help. I landed 2 days ago and PR card will take time to come. In the meantime I have to travel to India for urgent personal reasons only for 2 weeks. I do have Temporary Resident Visa valid until Aug 2016 and work permit too.

Please let me know if I can travel without PR Card. {PR Travel document may not come within 2 weeks even though I apply on the day I reach,

Finally..after 2 Additional Medical test requests (including a detailed medical report from a Specialist) from CIC, and 3 Months since Medicals started my ECAS status has a new 4th line 'Medical results have been received'.

The only option is Travel Document.

Here's the process to apply for it : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp

Please note: If you have landed as a permanent resident already then any of your previous status i.e. Work Permit, TRV etc.. stands cancelled and you will not be able to enter canada using that as your status is now a Permanent Resident,I am planning to apply for travel document when I land in India as I need to travel to India before I get my PR Card. In my case I will be applying at New Delhi. I don't think there are any other options but Check with an immigration consultant else you should plan to stay in India more than 2 weeks to ensure u get the document before coming back.

I just got a passport request by email (I'm not from visa exempted country) however ecas still shows "in process".
