We went for landing on 25th March . Went to Niagara and walked towards the US border using Pedestrian walk of the Rainbow bridge. There was no queue at the US border and it took us 5-10 minutes to get Rejection notes before we walked back towards the Canada side . There was a little queue over there and it took around 1 hour before we were finally welcomed as PRs
Please carry a 50 cents each to pass through the gates.They are kind of Tokens we use in TTC without which the gates do not open . I am not sure what would happen if you do not have it ... So better carry

I am August 17th applicant, Did my upfront medical in July 2015.

The only two lines i see on my ECAS are as follows:

1) We received your application for permanent residence on August 17, 2014.
2) We started processing your application on December 15, 2014.

No further communication was received from CIC since my file number that was back in December 2014.

Hello All. We applied in November 2015, acknowledgement end of Feb 2016. What is the next step and how long is it taking everyone to process PR application? Our work permits run out March 2017, so I really hope it is completed by then! Anyone have an idea of timeline?

1) We received your application for permanent residence on August 17, 2014.
2) We started processing your application on December 15, 2014.

No further communication was received from CIC since my file number that was back in December 2014.

Hello guys,

A question for the lucky ones that already got "ready for visa" and their passports back: do you have an idea of how long in average does it take to get your passport back after submitting it to CIC?

I am still waiting for my ready for visa email but I want to have an idea of that time frame so I can plan my next move.

I would say it usually takes around 14 days after PP received by CIC.

I carried the complete COPR docs sent by CIC + my bank statements(they did not ask for it) + passport

Order gcms notes to see updates on your file or where its stuck. Noone can give u any advice. It will all be speculation as each case is different. Get notes to know exactly what happened with your case

It is taking around 4-6 months in general for express entry applicants

were you asked to provide photos at any stage during the process, other than the ones you submitted with your application ?

no the COPR we received had the same photos we clicked when we submitted our application . We did not carry photographs with us for landing

I've landed on 26th Feb 2016, but my ECAS status still shows decision made instead of complete. I cannot login to ECAS using my landing document number either. Does anyone know how long it takes to update ECAS to go complete? Or when can I login to ECAS using my landing doc number?
