My wife and I got our ITA from 9 April draw (494).
We finished all paperwork in 7 days and sent it last Friday. So has anyone heard about biometrics lately? What are they planning to do? It has been 3 draws and I guess no one can get an appointment from Service Canada. In this situation, there will be an overload of applicants waiting in line. This is stressful for applicants and officers.
Hello All, I got an ITA for 16 April Draw. I have 2 questions to ask.
I have answered accordingly for these questions since my Student(F1 Visa) was rejected for USA in 2016.
Has XYZ ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?
Yes
Reason: F1 Visa was rejected in 2016
Has XYZ been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country? Yes

I Got an invite under CEC on 9 Apr 2020 have a query on choosing NOC
Work Permit 1 - May 2017- Apr 2019 - Technical Manager - NOC 2174
Work Permit 2 - May 2019- May 2021 - Technical Manager - NOC 0213
Joined as Technical Manager in May 2018
my Questions are:
1. What should be my Primary occupation NOC ?
2. Should I split my work experience with same role (Technical Manager)?
3. If Yes, Should I submit letter of references for both NOC codes with period (ex: May 2018-Apr 2019 and May 2019 to Current) ?

1. For CEC, as long as it’s one year Canadian experience, it won’t matter which one you pick. If you claimed points for both NOCs, you’ll be giving reference letters for both NOCs anyways.
2. Given that you have work permit for different NOCs, I’d suggest splitting them to sync up with your work permit NOC codes
3. Is this for the same employer though? depends on your employer, some employers issue one letter for all positions held within the company. Some can be persuaded to issue letters per position. If it’s the former, then just upload the same letter, it won’t be a problem.

Thanks NOC98
Now I am clear with your explanation for 1 & 2
For 3. It is for the same employer and most probably my employer would provide a single letter so can I have roles and responsibilities of both the NOC in a single letter or do I need to section within the same letter for two NOC with duration?
Hi,
Do you think they will have another draw anytime soon? Or probably next will be in May. I am sitting on 506 score. I was late for a few hours for the 16th draw, Congrats for those who got invited!
Thanks NOC98

Just curious, why does your wp have different NOCs for the same role??
I think it’s better to separate them based on your WP. It would’ve been easier if it’s just one NOC for the four years though.
