Hello everyone!
I am an international student with a bachelor degree and now hoping to apply for my PR under CEC.
I just have a question with regarding to whether it is necessary to have a matching job title when the duties actually lead to a different category. To be more specific, my job title is accounting clerk right now which seems to belong to NOC C level, but my manager confirms my duties actually match better with bookkeeper, which is NOC B level. Our company doesn't have a position called bookkeeper or accounting technician.
Am I still eligible for CEC?

Well... there's no easy answer. GENERALLY, job duties matter much more - you select the NOC based on job duties.
However, whenever an applicant appears borderline between an NOC B (eligible) and NOC C (not eligible) position, CIC scrutinizes very carefully and usually will err on the side of "not eligible." With the word "clerk" in your job title, chances are worse than 50/50 that CIC will believe you are doing level B work.
So, I'm not saying you shouldn't try. But if your boss is amenable, and you really are doing the higher level work, you should explore a change of job title.

Without seeing the list of job duties and responsibilities, I cannot suggest whether they match or not. It all hinges on whether the supervisory duties are well represented.

For that job i do have well represented job duties so ill just stay to billing clerk coz anyway it is on ROE
So if it’s different then they might have a bad impact on my application

I said, well represented SUPERVISORY duties, not just job duties. Your job title is whatever your employer says it is.
