I really dont understand how they decide whom to change Background and whom to not. It seems we are, who had this change in Background check, stuck here and I believe we are also cases that they perform deeper investigation or deeper analysis on. I dont understand why exactly.

I do not have access to my application is with the lawyer - is it call center automated answering machine also shows BC in process or we are processing ?

@aorMay28 : Thanks for your response but I wanted to know is your job/ company based in QC or outside? I get the idea that everyone is working remotely from home these days.

Hi Guys,

I submitted my PR application during 3rd week April while I stayed in Quebec. I moved to Ontario on 1st May and called the IRCC agent and informed that I have moved to Ontario and he said my address has been updated. I took my biometric in India during 2019 and that is still valid. On 11May I submitted the PCC of my son through Webform. On May-10, the medicals were passed. Till now there is no change in the profile and I have not received any emails from IRCC either. I submitted GCMS request on 30May quoting my PR profile and application no and yet to receive the GCMS notes. I am the primary applicant currently working in Canada on work permit and my spouse and 2 children are other applicants. All are inland applicants only. Wondering whether someone in similar situation and when I am expected to any updates?

When you noticed GUs, did you ever see your background check changed to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."

Is it okay to request again a GCMS notes? I had my first request last June 11 and got it in July.

There should be no restrictions. You can request as many times as you need.

It never changed. It was always showing "we are processing. Will message you if needed further information"
