I did attach my work permit along with the passport. With regards to LMIA, I didn't attach one as I was on a LMIA exempt work permit.

Criminality- Passed
Security- Passed
Background Check- In process
Visa Office- Montreal

Does anyone know how much time they usually take for eligibility and bg check? Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you.

Wow, the processing of your app doesn't seem bad at all. Less than a month and a half from your AOR and already half is done. I should call them too...

At what time did you call? Is it on the only contact number that can be found on their website?

Yes you can enter your details through keypad on your phone and ask them to call back if you're in canada. As my estimated wait time was 60mins I selected an option of getting a call back but they gave me a call back in about 26mins.

I am unaware of these things but after doing some research bg check is related to your employer and travel/work/education history. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

You can ask the status of your file. I actually called to verify the update on the very next day of MEP on my profile but nothing changed so they said its common to have these kind of updates.

I have no idea about the Visa office. I live in Toronto so I believe Ottawa? Again, not sure at all as I didn't ask the agent lol

Visa office has no relation with the location, I live in Windsor, ON but my visa office is montreal and my friend is living in Mississauga and his VO is Vancouver

The application says your background check is in process. Might be call to an employer and other work history might fall under the bg check and criminality and security are the major part of bg check that's why they've mentioned that it is passed. Don't know much as we are trying to solve a puzzle which can not be solved as the makers(IRCC) have their own design everytime they solve it.
