CCTB - Adding a child

Dear members

I have two kids, when my second kid was born, we applied for CCTB and have been receiving it since the kid was born. However, we didnt include the CCTB application for my first kid who is born outside of Canada. The question is, can I apply for CCTB and UCCB for my first kid now? is there any problem with that?

Hello bigbee,

Try giving the CRA a call with the special numbers for CCTB and UCCB here:

http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/bnfts/cntct-eng.html

Since you may be talking about adding another child for the purpose of the credits and benefits, it may be worthwhile to get your information directly from the CRA officers who are expert in the credits.
