Eligiblity for Canada Child Tax Benefits (CCTB) after returning back from abroad

We are Canadian Citizens and lived in Canada for 6 years. We have 3 kids.
We are currently working abroad outside Canada (non-residents of Canada).
We are planning to return back to Canada soon.
I am asking if we are eligible for Canada Child Tax Benefits (CCTB) from day-one when we return back ?
When are we going to receive the CCTB ?

Don't believe you will get it right away as the payments are based on your last year's tax return. I may be wrong. Best to give Service Canada a call.

There is usually a delay. You have to submit documents showing you previous year family income. There can sometimes be problems satisfying their need for info and documentation.
