My wife got a caregiver work and a work permit given to her, while filling the form for the work permit, I and our kids were filled as dependant but when asked if we will accompany her to canada , we answered no because we did not plan to go with her immediately, we wanted her to settle down first before we join her.
After 8months she has settled and wants us to join her.
Please what process should we take so we can join her.

I was able to apply on HCCP on January 1 2024. By the time of application I have full time work as a caregiver. My only worried is that I'm pregnant and will give birth by May 2024. But before I go to a maternity leave, I will complete the 1560 hours (requirement for PR). Is it possible to apply for PR while I am on maternity leave? This is the case:
Employment start: July 2023 - April 2024 (total hours will be 1600 hours). I understand that I needed to wait for July 2024 to apply for PR (1 year work experience), but I'm going for a maternity leave on May 2024.
Do you think I can update IRCC on July 2024 that I have completed the required 1 year of experience with over 1600 workings hours?
No I don’t do personal calls. Hire a consultant or lawyer if you need help with submitting the application. Business name can be you. The HCCP website clearly outlines the documents required.
Please be aware that HCCP is for people already in Canada working in the field or have secured an employer willing to wait for the applicant to get the open work permit. Those who apply outside Canada is because they already have some connection with the employer that is willing to wait. You will find that many sites hire caregivers, but usually, preference is given to people who are already in Canada (with papers).
