Could you please help me?
The situation is as follows.
I am 24 years old, IT specialist with a Latvian citezenship. My girfriend (future wife) is 22 years old, she is a student at university doing her last year. She has a Canadian citezenship.
The problem is that she has currently an unpaid student loan and counts as a dependent child, since she lives with her mom.
Her mom gets a welfare, but not my girflriend since she has a part time job.
We are planning to marry this summer and are thinking about getting a permanent resident status for me.
Thus, my questions are:
1) After she will get married, will she be still a dependent child?
2) Are we eligible to apply to a spouse sponsorship immigration program, taking in account her situation with a student loan and her mom's welfare?

She is not in receipt of welfare, therefore she should be fine to sponsor you. You will need to draft a plan that outlines how you two will live, without the need for social assistance.
I am currently working in IT company, which has offices all over the world and in Canada as well.
So I guess, it shouldn't be a big deal to transfer me to a Canadian office if I will get a permanent resident status.
+I am planning to bring some savings with me, which should be enough for the first 6 months.
Do you think this will convince officers, that we won't need social assistance?
