Hello Friends, I have a quick question on my Green Card (Indian Citizen)...My Spouse employer has filed Green Card in EB1 category for her and Its in final stage now [filed I485 in October 2020].
My question is - I have Canadian citizenship coming up for myself & my kids [not for my spouse] and we are expecting the oath ceremony next month.
Will my Canadian Citizenship impact the Green Card processing for our family or is it totally independent.
Since my spouse is primary on the Green Card and she is not taking Canadian citizenship, Will it be OK? Please suggest!

The green card application will have no bearing on your Canadian citizenship application. As long as you maintain a valid PR status up until the point of oath, you should be good.

I just gave my citizenship test..and returned back to US on the same day. Is there any rule that I need to stay in Canada until the oath ceremony or Can i travel back to Canada once I get my oath notification.
Have heard many examples of the US commenting on why you would need to get Canadian PR or citizenship if you were applying for a US green card. Whether they just give you a hard time and pressure you I don't know.

No restriction/rule.
I am waiting till 6th to enter to avoid quarantine. I can return back same day like you next week too but i am going to delay a week and give the test.

You just need to make sure you keep US as primary residence once you switch the status to LPR/GC, thats all cbp cares about. Since you are in US, its fine.
Yes, I got my Green Card.
However, I just finished my Oath for Canada citizen this Monday. However, I'm not sure if it would impact my Green Card when I travel to US on my green card as my GC has Nationality as India...Not sure if I have to notify US govt for making the change.
