I am just trying to get my American boyfriend back into Canada. He has a DUI on his record from over 6 years ago. We have applied for a criminal rehabilitation (the application was received just over a year ago-January2013). I am wondering if there is anything I can do to speed up this process? Any idea of how much longer it is going to be...and we are also thinking about getting married in the future? Would it be in our best interest to wait until the rehabilitation has gone through, or will getting married speed this process in any way?

There is nothing you can do to speed up the process. You can marry whenever you wish, it will have no effect on the rehabilitation app.
