I'm located in BC and from the U.K. I've recently received my invitation to apply for PR. To increase my total points I got sponsored through the BC PNP program and received extra points towards for my PR Application. I've recently been made aware that I may have to return home, if this were to happen I would have to leave my job.
I realise that if I have to leave I would lose my PNP nomination and my number of points would drop. My question is would be able to remain in the PR Pool? Or would losing my PNP status invalidate my Express Entry application?
Yes, you can remain in the pool, you would just have to decline your nomination (if it's invalidated) but your application would still be valid.
However, before you would do that i would explore all your options and understand all the implications.
I'm assuming you haven't submitted your AOR yet.
Does your provincial nomination explicitly state you need to reside in the province when you submit your application, are you sure your provincial nomination becomes null and void if you have to leave post-submission? Would your nomination be affected if you submitted your application before leaving and then left? Does it state you need to be employed in the province throughout the duration of your application being processed?
Just some food for thought, i don't have a lot of experience with PNPs but i know there are quite a few variances in terms of the conditions attached to different streams. You should read the fine print for yours.

I've been invited to apply but haven't submitted the complete application yet. I had 440 points in the Pool before doing PNP, and with the provincial nomination this increased my points total to 1040. I'm guessing that losing my PNP nomination would drop my points back to 440, I would have been at my job for 2 years this coming April, so that may increase the amount of points I have on my PR application.
You should be sure that losing your job makes you ineligible for your provincial nomination, you should check the terms and conditions of your PNP stream. Does it state explicitly that you have to be currently employed in the province?
