Me and my both are living in Pakistan right now and we are planning to settle in canada. She's not doing any job nor living in canada. Can we put some money in her bank account to show that she can take care of me when I land in canada? If YES then how much should we put in her bank account. Thanks
You should be able to put money in her account as part of proof that you intend to settle in Canada. She is not required to prove any particular amount in order to sponsor you. She has to prove that she intends to return and settle in Canada - job searches, communications with realtors about possible homes etc.
She does have to prove that she is in a position to abide by the 3 year undertaking - i.e. she can support you for 3 years so you will not go on welfare.
So there is no fixed amount but the higher the amount the better it will look.

Because a lot of people like to use the PR visa as a glorified tourist visa. Meaning they just want to come here for the benefits like health care, but they'd rather just live most of the time back in their home country where the weather is nicer, or what have you. Even on this forum, you'll find a lot of people who ask about getting their PR, but not wanting to leave their job or home overseas.

aren't these the people CIC wants to thread out? difference is, these couples classify their relationship to be legit (which it may be by all means) but c'mon...why do spouses that really want to come here & contribute have to suffer cause of these people? CIC should have a section specified saying do u intend to come reside in CDA once u have ur PR? if no, fine, cause ur legit we wont banish u from the pridelands but hey person A is dying to be with their spouse AND pay taxes here, mind if they butt in? *pissed*
