Can my husband be a co-signer without no income? please help

I have the required income to sponsor my parents. I thought employment insurance (EI) was income but later read on the CIC website that EI is not considered as income. I just wanted to add my husband as a co-signer incase if down the road i donot have enough income. So my question is, can i include him as a co-signer in the application with no income. Or he can be inclulded afterward after the application has been submitted if i donot have enough income.

Add him now. Your income plus zero is still your income but like you said, if he has income later and you have less, then his income will help.
