Can my application be returned for this?

When my wife and I submitted our inland spousal sponsorship application, we had mistakenly put her temporary resident's visa number in a couple of boxes where it asks you to put your temporary resident permit number. She has a TRV and not a TRP, but at the time we messed up and didn't realize there was a difference.

I'm really hoping we won't get our application returned but am expecting this possibility. Does anyone know on what grounds IRCC would return an application for such an error? It is frustrating because this is something that could be explained in a 1 minute phone call or email, but we have no AOR yet and even if we did, how do we get in touch with any official to notify them of a specific mistake?

Probably not. Unlikely anyone would know, though.

Try calling and getting a temp app number. Send a web form correcting your mistake. And hope. Ses like best you can do.

Thanks, I may try going the web form route...

Whole process is nerve-wracking without the covid delays on top of everything.
