I'm married few years ago, and planning to submitted my CEC application soon, however my spouse want to get a divorce recently.
Can I still submit my CEC application without my spouse's info (IMM 5406, IMM5669)? or Do I've to wait until I get my divorce paper before I can submit my application?
Or can I complete spouse's info (IMM 5406, IMM5669) myself? My spouse is not cooperated at this moment.
Yes u can submit without your spouse's info ... BUT it will be wrong to do so..... remember if your divorce is not final yet then you are still married to that person, So bylaw you are required to submit her/his info with your application.
You have to add your spouse's info now, and when your divorce is final, you can just let CIC know, they will update your file and its done.
Please don't do something stupid like this. This will be viewed as misrepresentation and you could be banned for 2 years or more. If your spouse is not ready to co-operate, you may have to wait till the divorce is final but don't lie on your application.
