can i stay in canada after completion of studies even after the visa exipry..??

HI THERE ,
my visa expires in august 2017 and my studies will be completed by the end of April 2017. if i apply for work permit in may 2017, it takes 4 months to get work permit. and by that time my visa will be expires. can i stay in canada till i get work permit even after visa expired ?

Yes you will be under Implied Status until you get a decision for the work permit. In fact, you can even work during that time provided you have a valid SIN #
