Hi! I was admitted to McGill and will begin my studies on june. I'm from Venezuela and currently processing my CAQ. I plan to visit USA this month and would like to remain there until moving to Canada for studying. Is there a step in the process of getting the study permit that requires me to be in my home country? I plan to apply online, and i'm told that I can give biometrics in any VAC in USA. Is visiting my home country canadian embassy required?

You aren't required to apply from your county but it is advised, as you can better show strong ties to your own country. You won't have any actual ties to the US.
Assume you have a US visa. Given you are Venezuelan getting entry into many countries may be difficult due to concern that you will claim asylum. Would only return to Venezuela if you know you can leave easily once again.

So, in the middle of the process, I would not be fowarded to the canadian embassy/VAC of my home country in any step? The question arose because I remember reading something in my CAQ application that mentioned that some of the information would be fowarded to my country embassy. Also, going to the US would risk the acceptance of my study permit? I would be going for tourism with a valid visa, as I would really like to visit family and friends before moving to Canada.
