Can I leave Canada while PR is in process

Hi guys

My husband has applied for sponsorship and our application is in process. As I was living with him in Canada, we applied for sponsorship from within Canada. We have already revived AOR.My question is can we leave Canada while our application is in progress? My visa has already expired so I won’t be able to enter Canada. I’ll apply for visa again from my home country. Will this affect our PR application?

I can not wait to travel. There’s an emergency and we have to go back to my home country.

Unfortunately there is no guarantee that you will be issued another visitor visa to allow you to return. It is possible that your pr application could be negatively affected by leaving the country.

I won't recommand you to leave specially you need a visa to re-enter and you currently do not have one.
You may not get another TRV and your application cannot proceed if you stay outside of Canada.

Re-think about what is an emergency. A lot of things can be done remotely nowadays. If it's that important, plan to re-apply outland and stay out while you wait.

Would not leave for more than 2-3 weeks.

Great. Fair enough. So that means I can still go out of Canada right? But I have to be back as soon as possible.
