Rajan - I am not sure about your statement. If I have to travel to India to submit the passport, I will not be able to come back to UK unless I get my passport.

please suggest.

Yes. I have taken one month vacation to submit my passports in India.

And what if I do not get the passport back within a Month ?

Also, we can submit the passport in the VFS office in India once we reach there... is it mandatory to submit it in self ? or any of our relative/family members can do that with an authorization letter ?

thanks in adv.

Your family members can submit passports in VFS India offices.

Thank you all for your helpful answers.

3 last queries - although I did get an idea about it but just to confirm .
- As of now, I just have to send my Medical & RPRF payment to Canada Embassy New Delhi, do I send the Demand Draft and reciept of e-Medical as POST or COURIER or Do i submit these as well in VFS center ?
- Since I am not in India, do I have to send an Authority letter to my parents to submit these documents in VFS ?
- The hospital confirmed they have uploaded my e-medical... Will I be able to see it in my status immediately when I check for my file status online ? I see only 2 lines, 1st is when they recieved file, and 2nd when they started processing. please confirm.

thanks in advance to all for help.
prateek :)

Submit Medicals, RPRF, Indian mailing address and Passports in any VFS India offices. Medical online update may take around 2 to 3 weeks. Yes u can provide authorization letter to your parents.

hi all

i am going to send my documents tomorrow (medical reciept and Demand draft for RPRF payment). Please help with below queries:

1. Can I send it by Courier ? I have read some forums where people sent it by speed post. Is that the only preferred way to send? Please suggest.

2. After sending these documents, by when (in a month or 2?) can I expect a PPR from embassy ? I am asking this as I am currently in UK and need to think on how to send passports or travel myself... whichever is convenient. Please suggest.

thanks!

Yes u can send by courier. Within India speed post is better. I got PPT along with medicals and RPRF. Hope u will get ppt in one month time.

Hi Rajan,

Thanks for your response. I tried doing a speed post today, at the below address and the post office refused to take it and asked to remove the PO Box thing from the address as it is only for the dropping. They cannot take a receiving.

The guy suggested to do a regular post, but I am not sure if that is a safe way... considering we do not have the proof of sending.

Is there a way to sending it via speed post without PO BOX and still it will be accepted at the embassy? Also, I have made my draft in INR based on this link "http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng"

which says INR 26,700 per person no matter what the CAD rate is. Is that correct? I have a draft for 53,400 INR for me and spouse.

The address I have is:

Immigration Section
7/8 Shantipath,
Chanakyapuri
PO Box 5209
New Delhi - 110021
India

Please suggest if this is the correct address and if I can remove the PO Box from the address and still it will be acceptable ?

thanks

R u sending from India? Remove P.O Box and add Canada embassy at top. INR will not change as per CAD rate. They may change the amount time to time as per CAD rate. Check the website for latest amount before sending draft to Canada embassy.

Hi all,
I apologize for interrupting. I have one query: Can't "prateek2485" do the rest process (PR visa stamping after PPR) from UK/London Visa Office(LVO) ?

I was thinking if there are any process where "prateek2485" can request NDVO/CIC to Choose LVO for Visa stamping only.

I am asking as I am a bit in similar situation.

Regards,
Jashim

Hi Jashim,

I did check that I can request for a file transfer to UK Canadian embassy if I am in UK. But I am not sure how long it may take for that. Also, I would be returning back to India in mid January and if there's a passport request before that, I will leave early from UK.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply. All the best wishes for your next process.

Dear all would you please give your valuable opinion on my below query (sorry prateek for using your post). I believe I will be in Canada between next Dec-January on TRV (Study Permit) but my wife will stay at my home country (Bangladesh). We are still waiting for our Medical request on PR application.

Is there any options so that I can do my rest FSW application process in Canada & My wife in my home country? In that case, PR processing can happen while I am doing the course in Canada & My wife in my home country.

Hi Rajan,

I have 1 last query now.. I was thinking of sending my passport from UK to India via my relative travelling next month and he's coming back again in January so probably by then he can bring it back.

My concern is - if I submit my passport to Canada Embassy, it will show my Entry to UK but NOT exit as I will still be in UK. Can that be a hiccup for my canada PR ? Can you suggest? And, how much time is given usually to submit the passports ?

I hope I asked my question clearly.

thanks in adv.
