Can I apply for student visa if I hv already apllied for PR

Hi,

I want to know, can candidate apply for Student visa if he/she already applied for PR with spouse or vice versa ?

Actually my plan is to get PR and then do MS in Canada, but if by any reason I wont get PR I will go through student visa . Is it possible to apply for both?

I will appreciate if anybody can help me with this query.

That is the plan but the thing is I am quite doubtful about getting PR...because my profile for PR is not that strong.

Here is my profile:
Education: BE in computer Technology (completed in 2010)
Post graduation program: Business Analyst (15 months program from non-affiliated institute )
Work experience : more that 1 year
Work designation: Business Analyst
Left job in Aug - 2014 for some reasons
Year gap : 3 years
Age: 28
gender : female

It has high chances of getting rejected after applying for PR. As it shows that your motive of education is to gain more points and settle down there in Canada. Not sure why, but this is discouraged by the government!

so are u suggesting for student visa directly not PR? does it make any difference if my husband apply for PR and I apply for student visa?

No. You can apply for student visa.

Dual Intent is allowed by Canada but they will evaluate you closely to see if you will willingly leave Canada if your PR doesn't work out

What will hurt you the most is your gap in employment which reduces your ties to your country and your level of establishment
